In the scope of this ICNAP study the topic data spaces for industrial applications was investigated. In the field of data spaces, the concept and reference architecture model of IDSA is very well known and first implementations using the standard, IDSA is providing, are existing.

The IDSA-RAM is defining different layers and components of the data space and enables institutions to participate in a standardized and secure data space. The components establishing the data exchange and connecting the actual data sources with the data space, the data space connectors, are implemented by various institutions. By certification activities IDSA is ensuring the standardization of the components. In this study existing IDS connectors were analyzed and an overview for several connectors was generated.
